The archaeological site of Aige (Vergina) is home to the royal tombs of Macedonian kings, including that of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. Visitors can explore the impressive tumulus that covers these ancient tombs, where vibrant frescoes, sculptures, and rich burial artifacts reveal the grandeur of the Macedonian royal family. You’ll also see the remains of the ancient palace, featuring mosaics and the foundations of monumental buildings, offering a glimpse into the city’s former magnificence.

The new museum at Vergina showcases remarkable discoveries, including the golden larnax and other royal treasures. Exhibits focus on the era of Philip II and Alexander the Great, offering a deep dive into Macedonian history. With special exhibitions and ongoing research, visitors can explore new findings and gain fresh insights with every visit.

The Jewish Synagogue in Veroia, Greece, is a beautifully preserved landmark in the historic Jewish Quarter. Built in the 19th century, it stands as a testament to the once-thriving Sephardic Jewish community. The synagogue features traditional architecture, including a wooden ark and a women’s balcony. Though no longer in regular use, it remains a significant cultural and historical site. Visit inside the Synagogue is upon request.
