Items | Guided Hiking from Chatham Bay to Mt. Taboi
Itinerary
The hike commences at the trailhead which meets the road above Chatham Bay, the initial section of the trail is only gently sloping to help you warm up your leg muscles, your guide will point out flora and fauna of interest along the way.
Once further into the forest you will be among some of the most mature stands of Lesser Antillean Dry Forest left in the Eastern Caribbean, one of the most endangered habitats on Earth! The trees will shade you from the sun and moderate the temperature. This is the ideal habitat for some of the endemic species such as the Grenadine Pink Rhino Iguana and the Union Island Gecko. If you are lucky your guide will locate individuals for you to see.
