Under 18s are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult. There is no age restriction, however participants must be at least 5" (152cm) tall in order to be able to ride the smallest bike.

You will get to explore some of the lesser travelled (and therefore quiet!) roads in the Lough Derg area, seeing great views of the lake and the surrounding hills. You will also hear of some of the history of the area, along with information about the historic buildings and the places around the lake shore.
Please note that I am open to variations in the route if there is something in particular a group wants to see.

Lough Derg
Cycle from the lake shore at Garrykennedy, before heading up into the hills for stunnign views of the lough.

Graves of the Leinstermen
Near the top of Tountinna, we will pause at the "Graves of the Leinstermen" site to look down over the lough. This is a neolithic site, which later became part of the legends of High King Brian Boru.

Castlelough
On our way downhill to Garrykennedy we will pass through Castlelough, a beautiful lakeshore location with a historic church and a 16th century castle.
