Learn the history of this unusual bridge: One of Berlin’s best known landmarks, the Oberbaumbrücke - connection between East and West - embedded in much local history.

In the former border area during the partition of Berlin, the Wall here made the towns of Kreuzberg and Alt-Treptow peripheral areas of the city. A preserved relic is this watchtower.

The name-giving street of the neighbourhood. Find out why and see a church built in the style of a Romanesque monastery.
The amazing density of international gastro offerings continues here as well.
From here I give you the final option to rest in a Kiez pub or take you to the station Schlesisches Tor - where the subway is not underground.
