Leaving Cape Town we drive to the Cape's famed wine-lands. The first stop is the historic Lanzerac Estate. Here you can join a cellar tour followed by a wine tasting. Our next stop is Babylonstoren - one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms in the Winelands. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty, fine food & wine and a sense of wellbeing.
Lunch will be served in the Greenhouse Restaurant. All food is served picnic-style in wooden crates with the preserves, jams and salads served in weck jars, while fresh bread from a wood-fired oven is wrapped in the iconic blue-and-white Babylonstoren paper. We have a farm-to-fork philosophy which means we like to serve food that is seasonal.
After lunch visit some of the area's most elegant wine estates for optional tasting of their superb wines.
Overnight at the Montagu Country Hotel & Spa. Flowing from a fissure in the rock face, the spa bath contains minerals that have healing powers. Guests are free to enjoy a visit to the Health Spa.
