Upon arrival at Baltra airport, you will be transferred to Santa Cruz Island (approximately 45 minutes journey). Before visiting the upper area, but first, we will stop at the Twin Craters, a pair of sinkhole craters, one on each side of the road, hence its name. Here you will have the opportunity to observe the famous forest of Escalecía, a plant endemic to the Galapagos Islands and one of the favorite habitats of the finches. Then we will head to the Lava Tunnel to appreciate the volcanic formations of the archipelago. This pleasant hike will take you to the impressive reserve of turtles, where you can admire the giant Galapagos turtles in their natural habitat, as well as the birdlife and endemic vegetation.
