Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu
This Full Day program begins with a pick-up at your hotel in Cusco at 03:30am Aproximately and a drive to Ollantaytambo, where you’ll board the 06:10 train for Aguas Calientes, arriving around 07:50.
A guide will meet you at the train station in Aguas Calientes and escort you to the bus for Machu Picchu. From this point there’s just a 30-minute bus trip to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, you’ll arrive at Machu Picchu and enter the site.
Explore the Inca complex with a knowledgeable guide for about 2 hours Approximately, See the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the mausoleum and more. You’ll have free time 3 to 4 hours more to take photos and walk around on your own. Visit the Plaza de Armas in town and see what handicrafts are on offer.
At the end of the afternoon you'll Return to Ollantaytambo by train, and then you’ll be taken back to Cusco.

Machu Picchu online tickets often sell out months ahead. The Cultural Office in Aguas Calientes releases a limited number for in-person purchase only.
August, and most of September 2025 are already sold out for online reservations. If online tickets are sold out, arrive early the day before with your passport to buy in person. In busy times, you may need 2–3 extra nights in Aguas Calientes.
Our local team, based in Aguas Calientes, is actively monitoring ticket availability and will provide you with timely updates. We’ll guide you on exactly when to arrive and assist with any necessary changes, On arrival, your guide will meet you in Aguas Calientes and help you through the entire process.
