Perito Moreno Glacier
The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most impressive spectacles in Patagonia. It is a large mass of ice and its proportions are so enormous that you have to see them live to understand them.
One way to observe it is by visiting Los Glaciares National Park, and walk the walkways that border the front of the glacier, which is located 30km from the park entrance and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981.
The walkways have three levels, and add up to 4 km, which reach the proximity of the glacier. The route is made up of stairs, ramps, an elevator and balconies with very easy access railings. The different levels of the viewpoints allow you to see the glacier in the safest way, from different perspectives that allow you to appreciate the different textures and colors of the ice.
In addition, fractures and ruptures in the ice constantly occur that fall on the water and cause a great noise.
