You will start you day in the Monastery of Saint Maron, also called the Cave of the monks, is an ancient cavern - used as a Maronite monastery - carved out of solid rock in the side of a cliff.
At Saint Charbel Tomb, see where the sainted monk--whose mortal remains emanated white light--spent the last 23 years of his life. According to many witnesses, the monk's body was found intact four months after his burial without a coffin in muddy grounds. Walk the short wooded path from the temple to the tomb, which today holds only bones of peculiar reddish color.
