The colorful masks, made out of leather, feathers, beads and many other things show us the creativity and in the same time the deep understanding of symbols from antiquity until nowadays. We will be able to touch the fir costumes, to hear and see the heavy belts of bells - brass and copper, to see the exhausted but content and happy faces of the participants under the sounds of folklore music. Regional History Museum Pernik
Pernik museum of mining is only 1 out of the three museums of such type in Europe. Practically it utilizes one of the oldest mining galleries in Pernik and has been functioning as a museum since 1986. Our guide will meet us and will introduce us to underground secrets and facts while walking in the boots of the workers!

SURVA traditions and folklore festival has been taking place since 1966 and while initially, it was happening every second year, its popularity changed the event to be held now annually! Directly related to our pagan heritage these traditions have been transferred to Christianity and now they present significant folklore beliefs and customs.
