Isla Saona
Located 19 kilometers south of the mainland, the beautiful beaches of Isla Saona attract more visitors than all the Dominican national parks combined. A 110 km2 protected area and part of the Cotubanamá National Park, Saona is a dreamy tropical escape, where sprawling sparkling white sand beaches and its giant coconut trees seem to melt into iridescent turquoise waters.

Natural Pool
A stop is made at the natural swimming pool at Playa Palmilla, about 200 or 300 meters from the beach line, with the water at the knees or at the waist, to enjoy the perfect scenery and climate. Bathers have to enjoy around 800 meters parallel to the beach, between the white sand and the huge coral terrace that separates the natural pool from the open sea and that makes this geological wonder possible.
