Your adventure begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up in Cusco between 4:00 and 4:30 am, depending on your location. From here, we set out on a scenic drive through the Andean highlands, watching the sunrise over valleys, rivers, and small villages that reflect the charm of the region. The journey to the town of Mollepata takes about 2 hours, offering beautiful landscapes along the way and the chance to prepare for the hike ahead. This comfortable and private transfer ensures you start your day stress-free and ready for the adventure to Humantay Lake.

Mollepata
After about a two-hour drive, we arrive in the picturesque town of Mollepata, nestled in the lush valleys of the Andes. Here, you will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast to fuel up for the hike ahead. Take this moment to relax, stretch your legs, and soak in the fresh mountain air while admiring the surrounding landscapes. Mollepata is also a traditional Andean village, offering a first glimpse into the local culture and lifestyle. Once everyone is ready, we continue our journey toward Soraypampa, the trailhead that leads us to the stunning Humantay Lake.

SORAYPAMPA
From Mollepata, we continue our drive to Soraypampa, located at 3,900 m (12,795 ft), the starting point of our hike to Humantay Lake. As we arrive, you’ll immediately feel surrounded by the majesty of the Andes, with towering snow-capped peaks like Salkantay watching over the valley. After a short briefing and final preparations, we begin the trek, which takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The trail is moderately challenging but rewarding, offering breathtaking views of rugged landscapes, native flora, and herds of alpacas along the way. With the support of your private guide, you can take the walk at your own pace, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience as you climb toward one of the most beautiful lagoons in Cusco.
