The Edo-Tokyo Museum is dedicated to the history of the city of Edo, which was renamed Tokyo during the Meiji era. The museum was opened on March 28, 1993, and is located in the Ryogoku district of Tokyo, near the Ryogoku Kokugikan National Sumo Stadium.
