National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine
Built in 1969, the complex contains the main shrine, as well as the famous guard changing ceremony. Most visitors will leave the area as soon as the guard changing is complete, but be sure to walk inside and explore the fascinating and beautiful Chinese architecture.

National Palace Museum
Founded in the Beijing Forbidden City in 1925, the National Palace Museum moved to Taipei's Shilin District in 1949 and opened in 1965. Over 600,000 key artifacts were relocated to Taiwan to preserve them during the Chinese Civil War.

Elephant Mountain (aka Nangang District Hiking Trail)
This option offers a great vantage point to enjoy the Taipei City skyline and the iconic Taipei 101. The trail includes a roughly 40-minute stair climb—about 25 minutes to go up and 15 to come down—but trust us, the breathtaking panoramic view from the top is completely worth it! If you're not into the climb, no worries—just ask your driver or guide for other options. Maybe relax at a cozy café and enjoy a bubble tea, hot coffee, or some delicious local snacks instead. Both adventure and relaxation await!
