Our day out in nature starts with a relaxed stroll through the green surroundings of Calles and Chelva. The Ruta de Agua is a beautiful trail of easy technical level from Calles to the village of Chelva. In Chelva we will have a break on a terrace. Get back some energy with a drink and take our time to relax.

Calle Peña Cortada
After the break we will continue our route towards the impressive Pena Cortada, an old roman aquaduct. This Roman bridge is is a deep cut excavated in the rock, 22 meters high by 26 long.
For the construction of the entire canal, a total of 11 tunnels had to be made, excavated in the rock, which total about 300 meters in length, with an average height of 1.80 meters and a width of about 80 cm, with large windows open in the rock walls from section to section from where we can see the beautiful mountains!

Calles
Our circular route will bring us back to the village of Calles... Of course we deserve a fresh beer or wine before heading back to Valencia. We will enjoy each others company and look back to a wonderful day in nature!
