Acropolis
Includes:
•Parthenon
•Erechteion
•Temple of Athena Nike
•Odeon of Herodus Atticus
•Theatre of Dionysis
Start your tour at the Acropolis, crowned by the Parthenon—the most celebrated monument of ancient Greece. Built in the 5th century BC under the leadership of Pericles and designed with the artistic genius of Pheidias, the Parthenon was dedicated to Athena, the city’s patron goddess. Its perfect proportions and exquisite sculptures embody the ideals of Athens’ golden age, reflecting the city’s triumph over the Persians, the birth of democracy, and its unmatched cultural achievements.

Panathinaiko Stadio
Continue to the Panathenaic Stadium, originally built in 330 BC for the Panathenaic Games and rebuilt in marble by Herodes Atticus in 144 AD to hold 60,000 spectators. Abandoned after the rise of Christianity, it was excavated in the 19th century and hosted the Zappas Olympics before being restored for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Today, it remains the only stadium in the world constructed entirely of marble.

3
Changing of the Guard Ceremony
Stop outside the Presidential Mansion to witness the Changing of the Guards, where the Evzones—elite ceremonial soldiers in traditional dress—perform their precise, synchronized routine, honoring Greece’s heritage and national symbols.

Hellenic Parliament
Overlooking Syntagma Square, the neoclassical Hellenic Parliament building was once the Royal Palace of King Otto. Built between 1836 and 1843 by Bavarian architect Friedrich von Gärtner, it was the first major palace of modern Greece. After a fire in 1909 ended its royal role, it was later transformed into the home of the Greek Parliament, where the country’s political decisions are made today.
5
Mount Lycabettus
Head to Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in Athens at 277 meters. From its summit, take in sweeping panoramic views of the city, the Acropolis, and the Aegean Sea stretching out toward the islands—an ideal spot for memorable photos.
20 minutes
6
Plaka
Known as The Neighborhood of the Gods, Plaka lies on the northeastern slopes of the Acropolis, blending ancient history with vibrant modern life. Wander through its cobbled streets, admire elegant neoclassical mansions and whitewashed houses, and soak in the unique charm that has made it one of Athens’ most beloved districts.
7
Ancient Agora of Athens
Once the bustling heart of ancient Athens, the Agora served as a marketplace, meeting point, and political hub. Here, great minds such as Socrates, Sophocles, and Protagoras debated ideas, while citizens gathered to discuss and decide on matters of the city. Among its many shrines and public buildings stands the remarkably well-preserved Temple of Hephaestus, dedicated to the god of metalworking and Athena Ergane, patroness of crafts—constructed around the same time as the Parthenon.

8
Temple of Poseidon, Sounion
Our tour concludes at Cape Sounio, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the iconic 5th-century BC Temple of Poseidon crowns the cliff edge overlooking the vast Aegean Sea. This ancient marble sanctuary, steeped in myth and legend, has guided sailors for centuries. As the sun sets and the horizon stretches endlessly, take in breathtaking panoramic views—an ideal moment to reflect on your journey through Greece’s rich history and stunning coastal beauty.
