Itinerary
The day begins with our guide as we depart from the Thermaic Gulf, passing the internationally significant wetlands of Koronia and Volvi. Heading east, we follow a scenic route through the Castle of Rentina, We soon reach the Strymonian Gulf and, after passing the tourist village of Stavros, enter the Halkidiki region. Heading south, we follow the beautiful coastline of northeast Halkidiki, with a view of Kapros Island. Our first stop is the Acropolis of Ancient Stagira, the birthplace of the renowned philosopher Aristotle, the teacher of Alexander the Great.
