Itinerary
1
Sainte-Luce
A stroll along the friendly streets of this southern town will give you a few useful points of reference, including: restaurants along the waterfront, white sandy beaches...
30 minutes
2
Riviere-Pilote
Rivière-Pilote is a rebel town! A fierce rebellion began here and spread throughout the South. Memories of this bloody event are still visible here and there... Rivière-Pilote is also a hospitable town, with a seafront much appreciated by lovers of sun and blue seas.
3
Distillerie Maison La Mauny
Aboard a delightfully bucolic little train, we'll uncover the rich terroir of the Sud Profond, amidst fields of sugar cane cradled by the gentle breezes of the South Seas. The Plantation boasts a rich agricultural and industrial heritage and recognized and appreciated know-how: don't its sugar canes produce one of Martinique's finest rums? After the visit, you can taste and enjoy the vintages... Enough to whet our appetites for the rest of the day...
1 hour and 30 minutes

Riviere-Salee
Rivière-Salée was once an important urban center, welcoming travelers from the center of the island along the rivers, and transporting them by coastal shipping to the capital... Rivière Salée also welcomed sugar cane from all the neighboring towns and villages of the south to its central factory.
It's in the countryside of Rivière Salée, in its haven of peace and private garden, that our host will welcome us... Together we'll enjoy an aperitif and lunch at his table d'hôtes... Then he'll introduce us to local traditions, and we'll be happy to take part in a Creative Workshop...

Riviere-Salee
Finally, to end our day on a cultural and historical note, we return to the ruins of the former central factory, with its Rue Case-Nègres and Maison de Maître.
