Early in the morning, pick up and then travel in a modern, comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle via Safaga along the newly developed desert road about 225 km into the Nile Valley to Qena. On the way, you will make a short stop at a rest stop to visit a toilet or stretch your legs. Then continue on the busy country road until you reach Luxor (about 60 km). You will drive past numerous small and larger places and gain insights into the everyday Egyptian lifestyle.

Temple of Medinat Habu
Medinet Habu Temple is one of the most impressive and best preserved temple complexes in ancient Egypt. He was succeeded by Ramses III during the 20th century. Dynasty built and known for its monumental size and the ornate reliefs that span several halls and interiors. The temple was not only a religious center, but also a place of worship for the god Amun, and also served as a pilgrimage site. Particularly noteworthy are the reliefs depicting Ramses III's victories over the Sea Peoples and other enemies of Egypt, as well as the scenes of sacrificial ceremonies and daily rituals.

Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon are two monumental statues that stand on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor and once guarded the entrance gate to Pharaoh Amenhotep III's mortuary temple (1386–1353 BC). The giant figures represent the Pharaoh himself and are about 18 meters high. The Colossi of Memnon are particularly famous for a fascinating phenomenon known in ancient times as singing statues.
