Early morning ,we will transfer you to Cairo airport for flight to Aswan On arrival , our expert Egyptologist guide will pick you up by a modern air-conditioned vehicle ,and transfer to tour of the great Temple of Ramses II and the temple of his favorite wife Queen Nefertari. Abu Simbel temples, the most magnificent landscape of ancient Egypt. These massive rock reliefs are considered the grandest and most beautiful temples in Egypt and one of the world’s most impressive sights of antiquity. The former’s facade is dominated by four statues of the pharaoh, each nearly 70 feet tall. Learn how they were moved in 1960 with the help of the government of Egypt and UNESCO 200 feet above their original site to protect them from the rising waters of the Aswan Dam.
Ramses II had the entire temple precisely positioned in order for the sun’s rays to align just twice a year, on the date of his ascension to the throne (22 February-) and on his birthday (22 October) to illuminate the inner sanctum of the temple.
The temple complex was dedicated to the 4 gods of ancient Egypt: Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and Rameses. After the tour, transfer back to Aswan to have lunch and overnight at 5* hotel.
