This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Fribourg on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.
• Meet the Fontaine de Samson, strongman of the old town's fountains • Climb toward the Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas and its 74-metre tower • Cross the Pont de Berne, the wooden bridge over the Sarine

Starting at the Allée des Grand-Places, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and wind down into Fribourg's remarkably intact medieval town. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.
The Fontaine de Samson flexes first — one of the Renaissance fountains that punctuate the old town, this one showing Samson mid-lion-wrestle. Riddles test your strength of knowledge instead.
The Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas rises next, its Gothic tower dominating the skyline; 368 steps wait for the ambitious. Trivia stays at ground level with the stained glass.
