After a welcome to the mountain lodge, we gather inside the traditional Sámi lavvu for an introduction to our history and the postal route that has been vital to this region since the 18th century. You'll then be fitted with all the gear you need — suit, helmet, mittens, boots, and balaclava — before stepping out into the Arctic.
