An hour drive up north is a romantic, fairytale-like castle that is the historic home of the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland. As we drive through its gates, you can imagine yourself in a carriage as you get closer to the castle with its grand turrets. Enjoy stepping into a vast array of splendor within its walls, gardens and grounds. A falconry show in their garden is must see.

We'll stop by Skelbo Castle remains right across Loch Fleet to see if there are any seals lounging about in a distance.

Have lunch at the quaint medieval town of Dornoch. Visit the Cathedral where the famous singer Madonna had her son christened. Local shops and cafes here are a welcome delight to many.

After lunch, you can have a wander along the Dornoch Beach beside the world-famous Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

Glenmorangie Distillery
We'll then visit a world-famous whisky distillery - the 'Valley of Tranquility'. With more than 175 years of honing their craft, they make fruity, more delicate spirit using the tallest stills in Scotland.
They offer their own respective tour to show how their whisky is made and for visitors to taste the distinct flavour of their whisky for additional fees. We leave this up to you to decide as you can alternatively choose to simply wander about their stunning grounds and enjoy a tasting at your own leisure in their cozy bar.
