After a short safety talk, we will equip you with a mountain bike and helmet. The tour will take you through scenic agave fields and rural roads that cross the Tlacolula Valley, in the direction of the traditional village of Xaagá. During this part of the tour, you will experience authentic moments of local life: peasants working the land, makers of adobe bricks, quarry workers and artisans who weave cotton textiles by hand. We continue pedaling to the prehistoric caves of Mitla, where we will leave the bikes to undertake a 2-hour scenic walk. Hidden among the mountains, you will discover ancient petroglyphs painted on the rock: powerful vestiges of early human presence, now recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO.

This important Zapotec ceremonial center is famous for its intricate stone mosaics, unique in Mesoamerica. Your certified guide will explain the symbolism, history and cultural relevance of the place, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Return to Oaxaca City At the end of the experience, we returned to the city in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle—closing a day full of adventure, culture and history.
