Oceanario de Lisboa
The Oceanarium is much more than an aquarium is a science and education center dedicated to the conservation of the oceans. The main building, surrounded by water, is divided into different areas that represent marine habitats from various parts of the world, such as the North Atlantic, Antarctic, Indian and Pacific.
The highlight is the central tank, with more than 5 million liters of saltwater, where sharks, rays, tuna and many other species swim. Around this reservoir, there are thematic zones that simulate coastal ecosystems, with penguins, marine lontras, corals, anemones and tropical fish.
