Are you ready to turn your hobbies into a business?
'Why this experience?' is the question many asked me.
It's not the first, the only, definitely not the last thing I host, but I can do this all day!
Each time I go, there are new things to learn about the village, the craft...
Also, I'm lucky to have Mr. Hoang, a passionate and skillful village local who really knows how to introduce traditional pottery handmaking in short period of time for both beginners and guests more used to automatic tables. He's been doing this for more or less 10 years.
The most interesting part is to watch fellow travelers (like you) enjoy learning about history, culture, people, and immerse in the craft. All the feelings; excitement, surprise, early frustration...

IMPORTANT: I strongly recommend you book this experience early during your stay in Hanoi, since properly firing ceramic and cool down in the kiln takes at least 48 hours to complete, making your cups look better, last longer and more useful (can contain liquid, food, etc).
However, it is still POSSIBLE if you're SHORT ON TIME, we can provide the raw version that dries out naturally in a few days after you leave Hanoi.
- Meetup - Go to Bat Trang Ceramic Village by bus from Long Bien Interchange bus station in Yen Phu street
- Arrive at The Village
1. Visit Village ancient town with the local guide to understand its history/ Watch local workers & products through different stages of ceramic manufacture
2. Make your own Masterpiece:
Shape the form with detail guidance by the host
Let it dry while relaxing, having lunch (optional) and browsing the shops
Paint the dried product - Free your imagination!
- Back to City Center, Arrive back at Long Bien Interchange bus station in Yen Phu street
