Ek Balam
Early in the morning we will pick you up and take you to our first destination, Ek Balam.
What makes Ek Balam a unique archaeological site is not only the impressive ancient pyramids and structures with interesting architecture but also its beauty jungle surroundings and lots of unexcavated structures lost in the jungle and vegetation growing on and around.
The word Ek Balam means “black jaguar” in the Maya language, same that you will see carved in several structures and ruins throughout the site
Do not miss the oportunity to climb to the top of the main pyramid. You will get a great view over the Peninsula and tree tops.
