Basílica del Voto Nacional
The Basilica of the National Vow is the largest church in the country. With its imposing neo-Gothic style, it is an excellent starting point for learning about the history of the country, the city, and, of course, women. Here we will explore the exterior of this building; entry to the towers is optional and not included in the price.

Palacio Arzobispal
Here we will learn and taste traditional sweets, we will talk about their preparation, origin, and what is the contribution of women to the extensive gastronomic culture of our city from the different spaces they have occupied over time.

Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande)
In this square, we will analyze the various political, religious, and economic powers that surround the city today, as well as the process of Ecuador's independence. We'll discuss the role of women in the independence struggles, those whose names have been recognized, and those who haven't.

Centro Cultural Metropolitano
In this beautiful building, of great historical significance, we can walk through the halls that housed the city's first university students. Here we'll analyze how women's access to education has been, and is currently, in addition to other milestones such as the movement for women's suffrage.

Fundacion Iglesia de la Compania
In this temple, considered one of the most beautiful in Ecuador, we will discuss the role of women in the religious community, as well as the transformation of the idea of femininity from pre-Columbian cultures to conquest and colonization. Entrance to the church is optional and not included in the cost.

Plaza de San Francisco
To conclude the tour, we will taste delicious Ecuadorian chocolate, made with fine aroma cacao. We will discuss the role of women in agriculture. After this sweet experience, we will analyze how women throughout history have entered different areas of the labor market and the transformation of gender roles over time.
