This Romanian spirit is now known even in Japan. It is ”palinca” or ”tuica”, a liquor that is always present on any Ardeal peasant’s table and not only.
”Plăcintă” is a Romanian, Moldovan and Ukrainian traditional pastry resembling a thin, small round or square-shaped cake, usually filled with apples or a soft cheese such as Urdă.

Having a walk through Union Square, we'll discover the history and the legends that stays at the beginning of the city. Saint Laszlo Church, Greek-Catholic Palace and Gulliver House are some of the places we will see and talk about.

Black Hawk (Vulturul Negru) Palace Arcade
Art Nouveau? Yes, please. This building represents the entire concept, being the symbol of this architecture in Romania.

Moon Church (Biserica cu Luna)
Why the Moon? The mystery behind the name will be revealed as also some historical facts about the church.

Parcul Libertakii
We'll cross the Paral's Bridge having the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful parks in Oradea. There, with piano in the background, we will taste the traditional ”pălincă” and ”plăcintă”.

Arriving on Republicii Street, lots of buildings will be waiting for us. From Ursulin Gothic Chapel and Apollo Palace with its 100 years old elevator to Moskovits Miksa Palace with its astonishing turquoise color, everything will look amazing.
