The tour ends at the southern entrance to the Old Elbe Tunnel in the Steinwerder district. From there it is only a ten-minute walk under the Elbe until you are back at the Landungsbrücken in the heart of Hamburg. So make sure you have comfortable shoes.

Energiebunker Wilhelmsburg
The energy bunker in Wilhelmsburg is an impressive example of sustainable urban development. Originally built as a World War II bunker, it has become a symbol of change and the energy transition. Today it houses an innovative power generation facility that uses renewable energy.
The energy bunker produces electricity and heat from solar energy and biomass. There are solar panels on its roof that generate clean electricity. In addition, biomass is burned in a combined heat and power plant to generate additional energy. This sustainable energy supply covers part of the needs of the surrounding buildings and contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
The bunker itself has been transformed into an architectural masterpiece.
