Starting from J Bay, you will be introduced to the project and meet Luis, who will share what the ocean means in his daily life. From there, you will walk through the historic streets of Ericeira, discovering places connected to old fishing traditions and learning how the village lived before tourism and surf culture transformed it.
At the harbor, the heart of the experience, you will observe fishing boats, nets and equipment while hearing real stories about life at sea, the challenges of the profession, and the relationship between fishermen, weather and ocean conditions...

We leave JBay and walk through the center of Ericeira, following the path locals have always taken toward the sea.

Inside the Fishing Port
At the port, everything becomes real.
Surrounded by boats, nets, and the smell of the sea, your host will share stories from his life as a fisherman.
You’ll discover how things used to be, how they are today, and what still survives of this world.

Final Stop – Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem
The experience ends above the port, at the small chapel of Our Lady of a Good Voyage.
For generations, fishermen have looked to this place before and after going to sea, asking for protection and giving thanks for a safe return.
Here, your host will share a final reflection and say goodbye, closing the experience with a deeper connection to the sea and its people.
