Nature Reserve of Scandola
The Scandola Nature Reserve, on the west coast of Corsica, is an exceptional UNESCO World Heritage site, extending over approximately 900 hectares, including both a maritime and terrestrial area. The geology of this reserve is remarkable, with spectacular rock formations resulting from a mixture of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. These cliffs, caves and rock formations plunge into crystal clear waters, home to rich biodiversity, while its diverse flora includes endemic species adapted to the extreme conditions of the rocky coastline.

Girolata is a picturesque village located between Porto and the Scandola nature reserve, the particularity of which is that it is only accessible by boat or by hiking trail.
