The Făgăraș Mountains, part of the Southern Carpathians, rise majestically in the heart of Romania, offering spectacular alpine landscapes. Here lies Moldoveanu Peak, the highest point in Romania (2544m), surrounded by sharp ridges and clear glacial lakes such as Bâlea Lake.
