Day 1visit (The monastery "Buwaib" -St. Pachomius Monastery -the Church of the Virgin Mary-the Church of the Martyr Margirgis-St. Mary Coptic Orthodox and St. Michael Coptic Orthodox Church)
A guide will take you from your hotel in Aswan to start your religious tour with a visit to
the Church of the Martyr Margirgis

The archaeological area of the “Buwaib” in the center of Edfu, north of Aswan, is one of the Coptic monuments, which is not known to many. Dating from the middle of the fourth century AD (Byzantine era), a fortress is located inside the monastery, church Qalali , and other archaeological attachments and includes the remains of buildings of monasteries built mostly of local sandstone, basalt stones and mud bricks
St. Pachomius Monastery (Edfu)
It is located at the foot of the mountain in the Edouard Hager
The building dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries and is built in the style of twelve dome churches
Next to the Temple of Edfu there are archaeological piles of mud-brick buildings and some churches and Coptic monuments
It is said that St. Pachomius, father of communion, is buried in the structure of the archaeological church
The next stop in the Church of the Virgin Mary in Edfu, known as the “Church of the Apparition”
