20 minutes
2
Colosseum
We will learn about this 2000-year old entertainment venue and the favorite shows of the ancient Romans: the Gladiator fights. We will stay outside the Colosseum.
3
Ludus Magnus
This is the only gladiator training center still visible today, where gladiators lived and trained before fighting in the Colosseum.
20 minutes
4
Basilica of San Clemente
Here we’ll start a journey to the center of the earth. We’ll enter the basilica of San Clemente, one of the most ancient churches in Rome, and we’ll descend through the layers of history. As we walk down we’ll find a hidden church from the XII century, then an ancient Roman temple and below that, an ancient river still flowing today below the modern city!
