Itinerary
1
Cathedral of the Asencion (Catedral de la Asuncion)
The Cathedral of Cuernavaca is the seat of the Catholic diocese of the same name in Mexico. It is a 16th century building, which makes it one of the oldest cathedrals in the country. It was originally erected as the Convent of the Assumption, the fifth Franciscan foundation in Mexico.
1 hour and 30 minutes
2
Taxco
We will visit a replica of a mine to learn about the importance of the mining industry in Mexico for about 400 years. Later, our guide will take you to a recognized restaurant in the area, where you will have the opportunity to sit down for lunch (not included in the rate) and try a variety of typical food from the region, as well as an international selection. This combination of authenticity and variety will make this a lunch to remember. When you finish, you will walk through the emblematic streets of the city until you reach the famous church of Santa Prisca.
2 hours
3
Santa Prisca de Taxco
There you will be able to appreciate the baroque style (churrigueresque) and learn about the history of the richest man in New Spain.
4
Taxco
You will also have time to see its many silver shops, typical of the region, or simply enjoy 30 minutes of free time walking around before returning to your transportation back to Mexico City.
