Achilles Point
Another place to view Auckland City and the Waitemata Harbour is Achilles Point. This rocky point is also known as the head of Horoiwi, located just past Saint Helliers Bay and above Ladies Bay. Traditional Maori carvings stand on the lookout representing important Maori chiefs.

in the heart of the Auckland domain you will find the beautiful winter gardens, the perfect activity for a rainy day. Designed in the early 1900s these gardens display some rare and stunning plants that are constantly changing.
