From Monterrey, take the National Highway (Mexico 85) in the direction of Santiago. When you arrive in the village, follow the signs for “Tail of Horse”.
The hotel is located on the Horsetail Road, km 6, very close to the ecotourism park. Access is well signposted.

Cascadas del Chipitin
This is one of the most spectacular nature experiences in NL, the waterfall has a height of 90 meters, an emerald pool of water, where you can swim, get ahead dived and at the end of the tour you will enjoy a meal made by firewood and tortillas by hand.
The adventure begins by climbing the local vans adapted with benches, these transports are those that can climb the terrace paths to the village of Potrero Redondo, they are narrow roads with unevenness surrounded by nature; it is the authentic way to enter the canyon.
The adventure does not end when you get out of the van, to reach the base of the waterfall, we will hike through the Sierra de Santiago NL.
Itinerary of your day
2 hours by rural transport to Potrero Redondo.
40 minutes guided walk through the Sierra de Santiago to the waterfall.
2 hours stay at the waterfall.
1 hour walk back to the village.
1 hour of food.
2 hours by return transport.
