Pony Swim is a unique and very exciting event which happens only twice a year ( last Wednesday and Friday of July) where the wild Chincoteague ponies swim from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island and back. Renting kayaks to see the Pony Swim is the best way to view it! The location is super close to the Swim, only short 10 minutes paddle and you can have front line view. We also have your own, private kayak ramp you can launch kayaks from. This is absolutely the best way to see the Swim!
