Monteriggioni
One of the most beautiful stretches of the Via Francigena. A medieval walled town, located on a natural hillock, built by the Sienese in 1214–19 as a front line in their wars against Florence, by assuming command of the Via Cassia running through the Val d'Elsa and Val Staggia to the west.

San Gimignano
You will drive you Ferrari among enchanting hills and never ending curves on the famous 1000 miles road. First stop will be in San Gimignano where you will have short sightseeing of the village with its 14 medieval towers, and taste the world ice-cream champion.
'San Gimignano delle belle Torri' is in Tuscany, 56 km south of Florence. It served as an important relay point for pilgrims traveling to or from Rome on the Via Francigena. The patrician families who controlled the town built around 72 tower-houses (some as high as 50 m) as symbols of their wealth and power. Although only 14 have survived, San Gimignano has retained its feudal atmosphere and appearance. The town also has several masterpieces of 14th- and 15th-century Italian art.
