Your first visit is to Wat Huay Pla Kang, home to Chiang Rai’s famous Big Buddha. This large temple complex includes a towering Buddha statue, a nine level pagoda, and an elegant white temple. Located about five miles from the city center, the sheer size and beauty of this site make it truly impressive.

Next, head to the Chiang Rai Clock Tower, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
