Starting at Praça dos Restauradores, by the Blue Liberdade Hotel, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and follow the mosaic pavements south. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.
The obelisk of the Restauradores opens the story — independence regained from Spain in 1640, celebrated in stone. Riddles brush up your Portuguese history fast.
The Elevador de Santa Justa rises ahead, a cathedral of rivets by a disciple of Eiffel, still lifting passengers between Baixa and Chiado. Trivia queues jump for free.
