Starting at the British 3rd Infantry Division Memorial, 64 Avenue de la Libération, 14000 Caen, open the Explorial app and enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message.
The route leads you from this memorial into the rebuilt heart of Caen, where medieval stones and postwar architecture stand side by side. The first riddles take you to Porte Saint-Pierre, one of the few surviving medieval gateways in the city.
From there, the trail continues to the Église de Saint-Pierre, its Gothic and Renaissance details a reminder of the extraordinary craftsmanship that existed before the wartime destruction.
