Puerto Maldonado
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado early in the morning. Travel to the river port and board a motorized boat for a scenic journey along the Madre de Dios River toward La Cachuela Parrot Clay Lick. During the trip, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Amazon rainforest and, weather permitting, a beautiful sunrise.

Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick
Arrive at La Cachuela Parrot Clay Lick, where you may observe parrots, parakeets, and other bird species visiting the mineral-rich clay bank. Using binoculars and spotting scopes provided by your guide, learn about this fascinating natural behavior and the importance of clay licks in the Amazon ecosystem.

Lago Sandoval
Continue to the beautiful Sandoval Lake, located within the Tambopata National Reserve.
