Church of St. Nicholas
The Church of St. Nicholas is located on a small hill—a prehistoric earthen mound—in the field between Zaton and Nin. It is the only preserved example of Romanesque architecture with a central ground plan and a cross-ribbed vault from the late 11th to early 12th century.
Because it sits on a hill, the church is especially charming and perfect for taking beautiful photos with scenic views all around.

Nin
An hour of pleasant walking and free time in one of the oldest cities in the Mediterranean.
Nin is a small, charming town known for its mild climate, rich history, natural beauty, and old traditions.
The old part of the town is on a tiny island in a shallow lagoon, connected to the land by two stone bridges. Life in Nin began over 3,000 years ago, making it one of the oldest towns on the Mediterranean.
At the entrance to the town is a statue of Duke Branimir, who represents the first time Croats were blessed by the Pope in the year 879. Just outside the town is the Church of St. Nicholas (from the 11th/12th century), where, according to legend, seven kings were crowned.
In the center of Nin stands the Church of the Holy Cross (from the 9th century), often called the world’s smallest cathedral. It was built as a calendar and sun clock and is now a symbol of the Zadar region.

Konoba Kraljevski Vinogradi
As part of the tour, guests will taste two types of wine and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the vineyard under the night sky.
Above Petrčane and Punta Skala, the vineyards of Kraljevski Vinogradi thrive on rocky, sunlit slopes with constant sea and mountain breezes. These conditions—stone soil, full sun, and a unique microclimate - produce exceptional grapes and wines.
The vineyard covers 1 km, rising from 8 to 43 meters above sea level with a 30° incline that ensures steady airflow and stunning views of Zadar and the Velebit mountains.
Founded in 1066 when King Petar Krešimir IV granted the land to the Benedictine Monastery, the vineyards were cared for by nuns until agrarian reform. Returned in 2009, the land was restored in 2011 with 23 hectares replanted.
Despite small yields, the vines flourish, producing fresh, mineral-rich, and fruity wines.
