Sahambavy
At the plant of this unique tea plantation in Madagascar, Ms. Fideline will welcome us and guide us through the different machines to explain the different stages of tea processing. After seeing the passages from the leaves to the tea bagged for export and packaging, we will taste the different qualities of tea then we will head among the pickers at work and start our hike through the huge plantation decorated with a magnificent landscape.

Mahasoabe
Departure by bush taxi to Mahasoabe. Your immersion in Betsileo land begins with this epic and lively morning.
The road is winding and the taxi full but the smile and there. Languages loosen gently between travelers. You will discover during a short taxi ride the sense of welcome of the Betsileo.
Arrive at mahasoabe, we will meet our boatmen but before embarking on this timeless adventure, we must ask for the ancestors’s blessing with a shot of local rum Of course.
This descent in traditional canoes of the Matsiatra river is an adventure - discovering the landscapes, rice fields of the Betsileo countryside along the river life (about 3 hours). The Matsiatra is a river which separates 2 ancient Betsileo kingdoms, it is also a road for the villagers because it is on this river that they transport their harvest for the market of Sahambavy. Stop at the waterfall for the picnic.
We will leave the canoes on the banks near Iseta. Meeting with peasants from the village of Iseta and departure on foot to reach the lake; Cross tea plantations and typical Betsileo villages.
After discovering the tea plantations and the packaging plant.
Return to Fianarantsoa in the late afternoon.
