Itinerary
1
Temple Bar
Walking through Temple Bar, Dublin's lively cultural and nightlife quarter, you'll encounter Ireland's oldest theatre, explore Meeting House Square, and visit the very spot where Handel's 'Messiah' premiered to the world.
2
Christ Church Cathedral
Learn the history and curious stories of the oldest church building still standing in the centre of Dublin (first built in 1030). An internal visit (paid admission) can be made after the tour if you wish.
3
Dublin Castle
Constructed in the early 13th century on the site of a Viking settlement, Dublin Castle served for centuries as the headquarters of English, and later British, administration in Ireland. (We will view the castle from outside the walls as the complex is closed to the public from May 2026 due to Ireland's hosting of the EU presidency).
4
Powerscourt Townhouse Centre
Constructed between 1771 and 1774, Powerscourt House is the former Dublin townhouse of Viscount Powerscourt, who was a member of the Irish House of Lords in the 18th century
5
Grafton Street
Named after Charles Fitzroy, 2nd Duke of Grafton, Grafton Street is one of the principal shopping streets in Dublin. It was originally developed from a lane way in the early 1700s.
6
Trinity College Dublin
Established in 1592 by royal charter from Queen Elizabeth I, Trinity College stands as Ireland's oldest university still in operation today. Just across the road, you'll see the former Irish House of Lords—the nation's principal parliament building from the 1730s until its dissolution following the Acts of Union in 1800. Our tour will finish here.
