Belgian wines is a booming and vibrant industry, yet still very small. Even in Belgium, it's hard to get hold of the wines as they come from many tiny estates scattered across the country and sold mostly in restaurants.
Thanks to my background in the wine industry with sommelier courses and a wine master's degree in Bordeaux I've been able to made a selection of great tasting wines that also highlight the various aspects of Belgian winemaking. Itinerary
Together we will discover the world of Belgian wines and its exciting story. I will host you at my home inside a 1664 historical house which is part of a UNESCO heritage site (béguinage).
During the tasting we will learn some surprising facts about the history of Belgian wine making and the driving forces behind its ongoing Renaissance. You will also find out about the 5(+2) recognized appellations and their typicities, and of course we will experience the wines through tasting!
