Ming and Qing emperors held the "Pray for Good Harvests" ceremony here. Inside, there are 28 giant Nanmu pillars. The four central Longjing pillars represent the "four seasons", the 12 middle pillars represent the "12 months", and the 12 outer pillars represent the "12 two-hour periods of a day". Climb the white marble terrace and look up – you'll naturally feel the majesty of imperial and divine power.

Stand on the central round stone at the top – the "Heart of Heaven Stone" (or "Stone of Heavenly Center"). Speak softly, and your voice will sound unusually loud and resonant, as if communicating with heaven and earth. At this sacred place where emperors once connected with heaven, experience the ritual of dialogue with heaven by standing on the Heart of Heaven Stone.
