Beijing Liyuan Theatre was established in 1990 and is an important venue for showcasing Peking Opera art. It consists of a performance hall, an exhibition hall and a sales hall. The repertoire is composed of carefully selected excerpts from Peking Opera, including Sanchakou, Farewell My Concubine, The Scattering of Flowers by the Celestial Maiden, etc. Electronic display screens have been set up in the auditorium, which can show the lyrics in both Chinese and English.
